Matt Maynard


Matt Maynard is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in strategic project management and research leadership. Currently serving as the Director of Strategic Projects at the University of Strathclyde, he has been driving impactful initiatives since August 2018. With over five years at the university, Matt has demonstrated his expertise in overseeing and executing strategic projects with excellence.

Prior to his role at the University of Strathclyde, Matt served as a Visiting Professor at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. During his tenure, he contributed to the academic community by sharing his extensive knowledge and collaborating on research projects. Before that, Matt held the position of Director of NPL Scotland at the National Physical Laboratory, where he led and managed operations.

With a strong industry background, Matt spent significant years at Rolls-Royce, where he made key contributions. He served as the Laboratory Director and played a vital role as the Chief of Research and Technology. Prior to that, Matt held various research and managerial positions at EADS.
