The PEMD value chain is complex and varies across sectors. DER-IC capabilities
encompass and support all value chain elements except Electrical Steels supply
and other raw materials that have to be imported. Key cross-cutting technologies,
including sustainability, rare earth elements, lightweight materials and thermal
management, must also be considered at the relevant development stage.
